Soros group hacked; leaked memos detail aid to BLM, refugee policy

The result of a June penetration reported to the FBI, over 2,500 internal documents originating from grantmaking network Open Society Foundations (OSF) were released on August 13 outlining the organization’s affiliated groups’ political activities and donations.

Perpetrated by disclosure portal, DC Leaks, OSF was founded by billionaire hedge fund manager, George Soros.

The leak spilled secrets from the group dating back to 2008 and include OSF’s stance the riots in Baltimore following the death of Freddie Gray were a “unique opportunity” to create accountability for the Baltimore Police Department and the flow of refugees from the Middle East into Europe represented Soros and his group’s chances to impact global immigration policy.

Among the revelations:  Soros’ group approved a cash payment of $650,000 to the militant Black Lives Matter group for “technical assistance” and how OSF has labored to “shape migration policymaking and influence regional and global processes affecting the way migration is governed and enforced.”

Included in the tranche of documents released were two studies completed by the group.  The first, a 69-page disquisition on the state of programs in 2015 revealed a keen interest in the unrest in Baltimore and anti-police protests.

The document, in part, read:

The killing of Freddie Gray in April helped spawn weeks of peaceful protests by Baltimore residents and allies from the #BlackLivesMatter movement that were temporarily interrupted by a period of unrest that lasted less than 48 hours and resulted in some injuries and millions of dollars in property damage to neighborhood businesses. While many lamented the damage done, the overwhelming sentiment is that the uprising has catalyzed a paradigm shift in Baltimore that offers opportunities for major justice reforms.

In particular, recent events offer a unique opportunity to accelerate the dismantling of structural inequality generated and maintained by local law enforcement and to engage residents who have historically been disenfranchised in Baltimore City in shaping and monitoring reform. Building on our existing networks and programs, OSI-Baltimore will focus investments on: 1) creating a culture of accountability for policing in Baltimore, recognizing the pervasive racism, disrespect and lawlessness that gave rise to recent events; and 2) building the capacity of activists in Baltimore to demand and achieve immediate and long-term reforms.

A second report titled Migration Governance and Enforcement Portfolio Review, the focal point of which is OSF program the International Migration Initiative, summarizes how Europe’s refugee crisis presented OSF with a unique opening to continue to shape immigration strategy.

Why is George Soros rewarding a group of anti-police agitators or using his economic power to foist changes to nations’ immigration policy instead of taking steps with his group to mitigate circumstances which spawn refugees impulse to flee their home country?

While Soros is entitled to create OSF and donate to whichever organization he chooses, it is appalling his interests are aimed at dismantling the foundations which bind together an orderly and functioning society.  Although Soros consistently postures himself as a sober and practical judge and depicts OSF as an arbiter of justice, the leaked documents revealing his personal devotion to Black Lives Matter and the quandary surrounding migrants represent a man preoccupied with exploiting grievances instead of conquering them and reveling in the potential to accumulate power through endless chaos at home and human suffering abroad.

Rather than stopping want, offering solace for suffering or satisfying hunger, Mr. Soros’ notion of charity remains twofold:  First, he is obsessed with a political cause, but unconcerned with a human need; and second, he is determined to foist his personal political beliefs upon a vulnerable people.

Sadly, Mr. Soros appears to view personal largesse bestowed to groups responsible for civil unrest and anti-police invective to be morally superior to a morally impressive life of sharing one’s purse with men, women and children in need.

That Mr. Soros involves himself with groups such as Black Lives Matter (BLM) is no enigma:  Soros considers violent civil disobedience a virtue and those who engage in stoking resentment and creating mistrust virtuous.  While Soros may see the death of Freddie Gray and Mike Brown and riots which followed as a parable about a profane system undergirding a history or race relations, his association with BLM is an unworthy labor and is unworthy of praise.

For all Soros’ humanitarian posturing, he offers no compelling rationale for assistance to BLM or his infringement on global refugees and his Open Societies Foundation has been revealed as a partisan advocacy shop.

Charity for all means malice toward none.
