As reported by South Korean Yonhap news agency, North Korea promised a full retaliatory strike against the U.S. should the U.S. launch a preemptive attack.

The claim an American attack is forthcoming coincides with the recent introduction of the THAAD missile defense system in South Korea and the deployment of several B-1 strategic bombers and additional aircrew to American military bases in Guam.
