Rebel Brigade Knights of the KKK endorses Trump

Referring to his call for a temporary ban on Muslims as the hub of support, the Imperial Wizard of the Rebel Brigade Knights of the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) in Virginia has endorsed Donald Trump’s candidacy for president.

Asked which candidate would be best suited for the White House by a correspondent with NBC’s Richmond, Virginia, affiliate WWBT-12, the Imperial Wizard, an unidentified man, answered:

“I think Donald Trump would be best for the job.  The reason a lot of Klan members like Donald Trump is because a lot of what he believes in, we believe in. We want our country to be safe.”

According to the Rebel Brigade Knights of the Ku Klux Klan website, the Imperial Wizard is Stan Martin.

Following up with plausible alternatives should Trump exit from the race or not obtain the nomination, the Imperial Wizard averred:

“If Donald Trump dropped out tomorrow I would support Kasich before I would Ted Cruz because Cruz was born in Canada and is not an American citizen.”

Mr. Trump faced an avalanche of criticism in February for neglecting to immediately repudiate support from former KKK Grand Wizard David Duke, who had expressed support for Trump in a Facebook post.

When asked by CNN’s Jake Tapper about Duke’s support, Trump replied he was unaware of Duke and fumbled three follow-up questions, all of which were designed to grant Trump the opportunity to reject support for Duke and the hate group.

Trump later blamed a faulty earpiece during the interview preventing him from fully understanding Tapper’s question.

Following the one-on-one with Tapper, Trump tweeted he disavowed Duke.
