Donald Trump bans Univision staff from his Miami golf resort

In response to Univision’s decision to abandon televising the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants, reality-television personality and presidential-hopeful, Donald Trump, retaliated by forbidding all Univision employees from Trump National Doral golf course.

Randy Falco, President and chief executive officer of Univision, received a letter from the Trump Organization which read:  “Under no circumstances is any officer or representative of Univision allowed to use Trump National Doral, Miami, its golf courses or any of its facilities.”

Additionally, not to be outdone, Trump has announced his intention to take legal action against Univision over the network’s decision to dissolve ties with Miss USA and Miss Universe, citing an “iron-clad” five-year agreement worth $13.5 million.

Ambition is one thing, arrogance is another.

With his presidential bid half under the earth already, the never-short-of-breath Trump commits another gaffe to solidify his role as a minor player in the 2016 election.

Trump’s response to Univision confirms the personal assumptions of millions of Americans that he is a breathtakingly-ordinary, multi-millionaire egomaniac whose messages, among his many flamboyantly punitive antics, amount to overheated rhetoric and childish instruments of retaliation.  This is entirely consistent with the standard we have come to expect with Trump.

As his bankrupt presidential campaign continues to reveal itself as an out-of-control ego trip led by an adolescent daydreamer, it will be quite an effort to think of Trump with affection.

If Univision employees are industrious and passionate about golf, they will find somewhere else to swing their sticks.
